About me

Ultimately, my ceramic forms represent a fusion of experimentation, creative exploration, and a nod to historical utilitarianism. Each piece serves a practical purpose while conveying a unique narrative through its aesthetic and functional qualities, reflecting my journey as an artist.
I almost exclusively fire my work in atmospheric kilns. Soda Firing has quickly become my favorite method to finish my pots and plan to explore that much more!

In 2022 I was fortunate enough to take a 2 week residency on the island of Skopelos Greece. There I was able to be immersed in the vast ceramic history of the Grecian culture. To this day I am very inspired by their elegant forms and handles that are synonymous with Grecian pottery.

I grew up in Buffalo, MN where i found my passion for clay in high school. That lead me to pursue and earn my BA in Fine Arts and playing collegiate baseball at Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. I now work for Jon Schmidt(AKA Jon the Potter) as a studio assistant full-time. I also teach two classes at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts.
